No guys! No, It is not a "baal vivaah" both of them are legally well above the age limits set by goverment of india. The person on your right is Vikas Jain, my best bud and to the left of him, preeti, her wife!YES. WIFE.
I owe a huge apology to them for not attending the once in a life time happenings of their lives. But then sometimes you are overpowered by the times and circumstances, which you might not like at all.All this kept apart, lets have some interesting facts for this event in making.
Vikas Jain(VJ) calls me one fine afternoon of december and says " Yaar, I am engaged"
ME(M): You are always engaged in something or other, tell me something new!
VJ: No No i mean i am getting engaged to a girl today!
M: (Baffled) Your level of humour is seriously falling, do something about it.
VJ: Nahi yaar, Meri Sagai ho rahi hai!
M: ae tu chup reh, mujhe sone de, dimaag mat kha.
Finally VJ get M talk to his mother who confirms that VJ is in his senses and has agreed to marry a girl.
The news spreads and everyone is either shocked, amused or refuses to believe. "After all how old is vikas , and we never heard about his being in love with a girl, how can he marry so soon??"
Finally the dust settles when VJ sends this invitation
"I invite you to the most awaited chapter of my life........................Together with our families invite you to share in our joy as we exchange marriage vows on 7th Feb. You have shared in our lives by your friendship and love, we would like you to be with us in the moment when we unite and blend into One"
Most awaited chapter?? his best pal never knew it, how the hell would others know!
Then VJ forgets birthday of his close friend, forgets to mail address of venue , writes mail in extraordinary big fonts, always sounds sleepy, phone is always engaged, and he has same excuse for all of these: "Yaar, Meri life bahut fast chal rahi hai! I am trying to cope up with the pace"!
Free Advice to VJ:
Boss you seriously need to work hard on finding excuses, more so now, that you are married.You have to be good in it now!(grab it, or pay later)
Few common question which would have faced a lot in that one month
- Why? I mean When did it happen?
- Really, who is the girl?What does she do?
- So how are you feeling now?
- Do you feel any changes in you?
- How does it feel to get into relationship?
He would be a Ph.D in all these by now, so any of you guys looking forward to answers in such cicumstances, mail VJ.
